Now Hiring: Membership Coordinator
Description: The Membership Coordinator will handle Climate Heritage Network (CHN) member onboarding, membership inquiries and direct member services in the US and globally and will support transition to a new membership dues structure. The Membership Coordinator will also support and promote engagement by CHN North America members in the CHN’s Global Campaign to Put Cultural Heritage, Arts and Creative Sectors at the Heart of Climate Action.
Position Title: Climate Heritage Network Membership Coordinator
Hours: 20-30 per week, contracted at $25 per hour
Location: Hybrid in San Antonio preferred; fully remote available
Duties:
Manage the Climate Heritage Network’s internal database of more than 700 members from across the world, including primary and secondary email contacts, organization profile, and associated details.
Maintain the Climate Heritage Network’s external database of members on the
organization’s website.
Assess, improve, and implement a revised membership onboarding system for new members.
Oversee membership inquiries via email in a timely manner and maintain an internal
frequently asked questions database.
Support the transition to a new membership dues structure in partnership with
organizational leadership.
Assist with membership dues management and budget forecasting in partnership with
organizational leadership.
Assist with membership visibility and promotion, including press releases, social
media posts, and related efforts.
Support and promote engagement by CHN North America members in the organization’s
Global Campaign to Put Cultural Heritage, Arts and Creative Sectors at the
Heart of Climate Action.
Attend virtual events by member organizations as assigned, which may be across global
time zones.
Perform other duties in support of CHN membership as assigned.
Skills/Education Requirements:
Excellent competency in English (speaking, reading, and written communications)
1-2 years of experience working with any membership organization (volunteer roles may be included)
Competency with the following software/programs:
Microsoft Office
Google Workspace and apps
Website and social media content management (Squarespace, Wordpress, etc.)
CRM (Blackbaud, Bonterra, Neon, Salesforce, etc.)
Digital design (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors Degree
Fluency in additional languages (Spanish and/or French highly preferred)
Familiarity with cultural heritage and climate policy
Familiarity with social media platforms, management, and analytics (primarily LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook)
Experience working with a fully remote, highly matrixed national or global organization.
